Get To The Root Of Your Issues So You Can Conquer Them.

The Bible says God will bring out the enemies hiding among us so we can conquer them. We must make no treaties with them but destroy them so that we can enter the place He is taking us!
Our childhood affects our adulthood, for some; in a positive way, others, in a negative way. The way we love, understand, think, view things, speak, listen, acknowledge, give and receive, our ways, etc...can be a result of the life we lived or what we experienced as a child- the root, the beginning.

What do you struggle with today?
For some, you got everything you needed as a child; love, attention, all the toys you wanted whenever you wanted them without having to wait long or at all. So, your struggle might be patience.

For some, you got none of the above so you struggle with being loved, feeling needed, cared for and receiving anything that comes to you because you're not used to it.

For others, it can be fear; you had it all but you've lost everything and now you fear getting involved in new relationships/ friendships. Now you fear trying again, you've lost all hope that anything will last.

Often times we grow in a negative environment, our growth becomes paralyzed by what got planted deep inside our hearts, minds or spirits at a tender age. We hear we are never going to be anything good in life, we are worthless, we are a mistake, we felt alone with no one to talk to and when some of us summoned the courage to talk about what we are facing, what's going on with us- we are then shunned and silenced so we learned to stay quiet with emotions boiling inside us rather than speaking out.

Now as an adult you do not know your self-worth, self- esteem is low, you struggle with expressing how you truly feel, you  care more about others than yourself. You are broken, therefore you give and receive love in pieces from a broken place. You see the world through skewed vision. You build walls preventing others from knowing you and worst, from you knowing who you truly are. You rob yourself of opportunities to shine! That light that God created in you is now in hiding, your spirit is crushed and your soul is drained. You cry more than you smile, you feel more pain than joy, you suffer more than you are comforted, you are depressed and just going through the motions.

Whatever challenges you today, I want you to know that you can be it's master. God gave us his weapons to pull down strongholds, whatever prevents us from his knowledge, from knowing him (from being free). We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ- 2Cor 10:4-6. He gave us power and self control so we can be in control of what controls us.
God hears your cries, he feels your pain, he's been collecting your tears and now he is saying enough! All that you went through as a child, that affects you as an adult was a setup for where he is taking you. God wants to restore you! Get up, brush yourself off, It's time to face and conquer your giants David, use what's in your hand Moses! You've been using your stone to kill little birds, now you're going to take down giants so others will not be tormented any longer. You've been using your staff to support yourself when you walk, now you are going to use it to part seas for others to walk through. The things you faced, I'm going to comfort you so that you can comfort others. I'm going to show you hidden strengths inside you, that you never knew you had to conquer your giants and move forward.

Let's get to the root of your problems so that you can get out from where you are. No one knows and can help you like Jesus! He's waiting to expose the enemies that hinders you. Get into your quiet space, do some self-reflection and evaluation, he's waiting to show you your heart so you can face, conquer and move on to the next level.

PRAYERS
Lord, show me my heart, bring to the surface the things that hinders me from moving forward and becoming all you created me to be. All that blocks me from seeing what you see in me. Show me what I need to let go of then help me to be obedient. In Jesus name I pray!

Patience
Lord, being patient is apart of who you are and I am created in your image, thank you! I ask you to let the spirit of patience and endurance rise up in me, teach me to walk in these qualities as I cant do it on my own. It is not my normal but it is possible. Help me to let go off what I know so I can take hold of what you want me to. In Jesus name I pray!

Love/ Needed
Lord, you are love and I belong to you, give me faith to believe in something I never received as a child, something I received in a negative way. Help me to forgive the ones that loved me negatively as they did the best they knew how. Clothe me in your true love, heal me, help me to let the past love go, open my heart so I can receive your love and walk in it. You say I'm precious to you, oh Lord, break down the walls I built for myself that blocks me from giving and receiving love. In Jesus name I pray!

Fear
Lord, your word says you have not given me a spirit of fear but of love, power and self-control. Today I stand on your word and declare that I am no longer a fearful slave. Fear will no longer hold me back from expecting great things into my life, in fact, my latter days will be greater than my former days in Jesus name because I am your child and you love me. I will attract miracles, your goodness and mercies will follow me all the days of my life. I will be open to whoever comes into my life and will not fear that I will lose them, and if I do, you are my strength and you will never leave me. Thank you for removing my fears Lord and replacing them with faith. In Jesus name I pray!

The Beauty In Praying

There's a simultaneous experience when you begin to pray, all of a sudden words start flowing from your belly, you get a wave of peace that you’re praying what God wants you to pray. Sometimes tears rain down your face or you begin to speak in your heavenly language and before you know it you find yourself in a worshiping posture; kneeling, hands open, hand apart, face down, laying flat, etc. Oh, it’s just beautiful! I’ll call it “divine prayer connection.”

I personally love the promises in the following verses:

Romans 8:24-25 “...If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it. But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.”
This opens a door for so many challenges to be stretched ; exercising faith that God will actually come through, trusting him, it teaches patience and builds confidence. It’s a win win, and my favorite, it’s exciting!!! I’m like a big kid waiting with a big grin on my face when I pray for something that I believe he doesn’t mind me having or something within his will, promises or plan for my life, waiting for it’s arrival! I literally squeal! I would keep checking my spirit to see if it’s there or keep waiting on a call, whatever I prayed for and however it comes, I stay expecting. Kinda like when you order something online and you keep tracking it. Or, the story of Elijah praying for rain and how he kept sending his servant to check. I’m getting all bubbly inside writing this. Our God is so faithful!! There’s none like him! His beauty is incomparable!

Matthew 21:22 “You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.” 
Matthew 7:7 “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”

How cool is this? We’re invited just to ask, keep asking and believe by FAITH, that what we ask for is ours! This currency is better than money, the currency of faith. (I got this from my pastor) Without money, it’s not very possible to buy what we need, even if we credit we still have to pay at a later date. With faith, we only need to show up, ask, believe, receive or wait and that’s it! And the beautiful thing with this currency is that it brings us closer to the giver.

Beloved, I encourage you to make praying throughout the day apart of your everyday life. Even if it’s short ones because I believe before you know it you’ll be praying 3,4 even 5 times a day long and short.
Praying draws us so close to Jesus, it encourages praise and thanksgiving. It breaks chains, it puts us in and gets us out of situations. Oh, and The Lord stores the prayers of His godly in a golden bowl, talk about royalty huh ;)

PRAYER

 

Lord Jesus, oh we are so thankful for your love and showering us with promises. You say we should ask for what we want, then wait patiently and confidently for it. Lord, please give us faith to believe your word for we know that you’re not man that you should lie and that your word will not return to you void. Help us to boldly come at your feet and leave with peace that it is already done in the spirit, give us strength and patience to wait for it to come to pass in the natural.
Bring us closer to you while we pray.
Teach us how to pray and what to pray for so that we do not pray selfish prayers. We first seek your face, heart and kingdom before seeking your hands. Show us what that looks like Lord, in Jesus name, Amen!

 

Come And Be Refreshed

Come to me this day in whatever state you are. You don’t have to finish up what you’re doing, drop everything and come. Bring your case to me, let's talk. I see you trying to keep yourself occupied so you won’t have to face how you deeply feel but I know your needs, I want to restore you to the position I had in mind when I created you. You no longer have to stand behind the weight of your burdens.

My child, I’m not the God your eyes see when you’re lost or hurting. The God you learned about through your own experiences, embedded thoughts, and beliefs or from the world. You’ve placed me in a box for too long and this same box is hindering you and preventing me from showing out. 

Listen attentively; you’re not in trouble for straying. I expect you to stray, you’re human, and this world is wired with distractions of all kinds. But don’t feel guilty or stay away fearing I’m upset with you, I await you with open arms and clean robe. You’re not used to this kind of love and life. It’s strange to you, which, can leave you feeling unworthy. But you are precious to me and I take pleasure in all I do for you.

You don’t have to hide behind clothes you’ve made for yourself; YOUR stone thoughts, ideas, ways, beliefs. I designed you to be naked and unashamed before me, for us to fellowship that way. Your clothes, your walls are separating us, drop them so we can talk, please. My thoughts about you are nothing short of beauty, I want to instill them into your heart and strengthen you on your journey. 

Remember, the enemy prowls around looking for who he can devour, and I say it’s NOT you, I extend my hand to you this day, take it, you don’t have to be scared. I won’t be angry. 

Slow down. Take a deep breath. Enjoy doing nothing... It's okay!

When was the last time you... Ate a meal without any distractions at all, focusing on the tastes, smells, sounds, and textures of your food? Took a shower enjoying the connection the water makes with your body? Went for a walk inhaling deeply the fresh air that surrounds and sustains us, admiring the beauty of the colored leaves falling from the trees and settling at your feet? When was the last time you woke up and just lay in bed for 5 mins listening in silence allowing your thoughts to float on by? Spent quality time with a loved one catching up focusing on each other attentively? Turned your phone off and enjoy some alone time by yourself, with your spouse or kids? When was the last time you sat for a minute or two doing nothing, thinking about nothing, just relaxing...unbothered by anything? When was the last time you really paid attention to yourself, your needs whether it be self-reflection, self-evaluation or detoxifying negativity from your mind or space?

We live in a world, in a time where everything is moving fast, our busyness forces us to lose sight of the beauty of life and all that's around us. We get so absorbed in making sure to get things done that we forget about the person getting them done. Remember this truth- "we are in the world but not of it" we do not have to move with the speed of the world because Jesus holds our times and I believe that time complies with us as we decide to take a break from our busy schedules. God understands and supports rest! "Rest is a weapon given to us by God, the enemy hates it because he wants YOU stressed and occupied." Understand this, we are in a better position to hear from God when our minds and hearts are at peace, souls are at rest. We also communicate better with others and take better care of ourselves being in and operating from a calm and relaxed state. Don't feel guilty for prioritizing time for yourself. After all, you cannot pour into others if you're empty! 

I'm so excited about how much clearer you will begin to hear from God, how less clogged/ occupied you will be and how you will be glowing by slowing down, walking in your blessed life and really enjoying the little details that make life so worth living!! Yay!

PRAYER

Lord, thank you for this beautiful life, I ask that you help me to slow down so I can hear from you better, see you in things around me I've never seen before, speak with you in ways I've never spoken before and appreciate the little things that add moments to my life. Help me to make myself, your vessel a priority to be rested and remain in peace. In Jesus name, Amen!
